Anyways, the total cost of the project was probably around $250, including cheap
mattress, lumber, and hardware. It also took a considerable amount of time,
including help from my friends and flatmates. I've also learned several lessons
while working on this project:
- Using a cheap wood stain makes shoddily built crap look like furniture.
- You're really not supposed to crimp ferrules onto
vinyl coated cable.
- Talk with your roommate before you build (I started construction in the
wrong room before he arrived and moved in there!)

It's also kind of nice to have rafters that you can set screws in, to hang crappy
speakers from.
